Does tattoos change when healed?

Hallo,

Most of the times when we see a picture of a tattoo it is showing how the tattoo looks just after the artist work is done.

This means that the skin is still open and we can see the pigments directly, so everything is more vibrant, have more contrast.

With time the skin will close itself again and that will change how we see the tattoo.
